Xiomara Ponce was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She is an American citizen who lives and works in Miami, Florida. Ponce received a master’s degree in Social Psychology Applied to the Arts (1995) from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She also has a Bachelor in Anthropology (with an emphasis in Anthropology of Art) from Universidad Central de Venezuela. She has her sculptor’s studio in West Miami and has worked as a sculptor since 2000. She has since produced a substantial body of artworks using clay modeling techniques.

 Ponce’s work is currently shown at The Opera Atelier Santa Cecilia Gallery and at Ponce’s Private Studio in West Miami, Florida, as well as in private collections.

 Currently, Ponce works as a sculptor and creativity coach at The Opera Atelier, a non-profit art organization.
